Koenigsegg Regera

The Koenigsegg Regera is a plug-in hybrid grand tourer made by Koenigsegg in Sweden after its March 2015 Geneva Motor Show debut. Its weirdest quirk: No gearbox at all: the Koenigsegg Direct Drive uses one fixed 2.73:1 reduction, so the engine and wheels are basically married at speed.

A Swedish hypercar that deleted its gearbox. Instead of a seven-speed dual-clutch, the Regera uses a single fixed ratio and three electric motors, and Koenigsegg says the swap added only 88 kg.
